Capt. Wang Futian graduated from Dalian Maritime University. He joined the COSCO (Guangzhou) in 1976 and became a captain in 1983 while he stayed in COSCO Dalian. He was promoted to be a member of the company management in 1987.

Capt. Wang has been serving as one of the members of top management team of COSCO Group since 1992. He took the posts as executive vice president and party committee member of COSCO in April 2004.

Capt. Wang has been involved for years in enterprise operating and management supervising. Besides, he is also an expert on human resource exploitation, personnel management and coordination, corporate culture establishing as well as security management with rich on-the-spot operation and management experiences in large-sized shipping enterprises.
