P&O Ports Asia Operating Headquarters manages existing business and seeks opportunities for new investments of P&O Ports in this region. This currently includes Philippines, China (Qingdao, Shekou & Tianjin), Thailand (Laem Chabang), Indonesia (Surabaya & Irian Jaya) and Russia (Vostochny).

Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) is a publicly listed company on the Philippine Stock Exchange and operates in Manila, Mariveles, Batangas, Calamba and General Santos.

Executive Director and State Director

1989 to 1990

Senior Executive for P&O's Container Terminal, general stevedoring and materials handling activities for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Activities included overall responsibility for financial and operational performance.

1984 to 1989

Established a company, Integrated Transport, to undertake consultancy assignments. These include port and maritime projects in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Pakistan.


Australia National Line (ANL)
Director for Operations

1982 to 1984

Returned to ANL as Director for Operations to assist in the enhancement of ANL's container terminal activities and develop a marketing program for the business.

1980 to 1982

Consultancy assignment with the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank as a Sub-Consultant.

1969 to 1980

Employed by the Australian Shipping Commission trading as Australian National Line in a number of positions involving ship management, commercial and operations leading to the position of Director for Operations.

1958 to 1969

A sea-going career serving in ships carrying break-bulk, dry and liquid bulk, unitized cargoes and roll-on/roll-off vessels.
