John Fossey joined Drewry Shipping Consultants in August 2000 and was promoted to director of the container shipping team in March 2003. He has special responsibility for the company's container reports and is editor of the company's electronically-delivered and industry leading Container Market Quarterly publication.

Mr Fossey has also worked on a number of consultancy projects on behalf of liner shipping companies, shippers, investment banks and port authority/terminal operating companies and has spoken on container shipping, logistics and international trade issues at conferences in China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the US and UAE.

Prior to joining Drewry, John Fossey spent 20 years working in the shipping information, analysis and media sector, most recently as Deputy Editor of the world renowned monthly magazine Containerisation International.
